McAuliffe celebrated Summer Spirit Week May 18-22, 2026. ASB hosted lunch events in the quad and a full week of dress-up days for Eagles to show their spirit. This is a fun way to bring our school together for our last spirit week of the school year. Eagles had a blast all week long playing games and wearing fun outfits.
Monday started strong with Mathlete vs. Athletes, and students chose to dress smart or sporty. We also had a cheese ball toss. In this game, one partner got a shower cap covered in shaving cream, while the other threw cheese balls onto their head, and duos faced off to see how many could stick. Tuesday, we wore Hawaiian gear and displayed our best tropical outfits. Also, students got the chance to splash an ASB member or staff member in our dunk tank at lunch. Wednesday’s dress code was beach headgear, and our Eagles brought hats, sunglasses, and goggles. They were also invited to compete in a donut-eating contest, where students raced to finish their donut first without using their hands or eyes. On Thursday, we had Student-Teacher Swap Day. Teachers dressed as students and students dressed as teachers or staff to switch outfits for the day. Also on Thursday was our sponge relay. In this activity, teams of Eagles raced with a wet sponge in a bucket, back and forth, to fill another bucket to a line. Lastly, we had Freedom Friday. We dressed in red, white, and blue to celebrate Memorial Day weekend. We ended it with a summer bucket-list-making event and a lemonade stand, where students got lemonade for $1 to support their school.
This week was a fun way to bring the school together to celebrate the end of the school year and get excited for summer. Students competed in creative and strategic games at lunch, and showed up in awesome outfits every day. Our Eagles were to show their school spirit. Here are some words from a couple of Eagles:
