On Thursday, December 11, McAuliffe hosted its Elf Winter Festival! This allowed students to come together for a fun and festive after-school event. The festival was from 3:10 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and was open to all grade levels. ASB sold tickets on Tuesday and Wednesday for $5, also giving students the chance to spin a wheel for prizes. These tickets required a parent’s signature to gain entry to the festival. With the purchase of a ticket, students received Italian ice, a bag of popcorn, a sour candy bag, and a chance to spin a wheel for prizes. Activities were spread across the MPR, Mini Gym, and Quad, creating a festive spirit throughout the campus.
This year’s festival featured a wide variety of activities, games, music, and snacks that kept students entertained. Some of these activities included unlimited photo booth pictures, watching the holiday movie Elf, giant lawn games, carnival games, and a DJ. There was something for everyone to enjoy, whether they wanted to relax, play games, or dance. ASB created colorful, handmade decorations that filled the campus with joy.
When asked about the Elf Winter Festival, this is what students responded:
“I really enjoyed being at the Elf Festival! I was never bored due to all the fun activities that it included. I especially loved the photo booth because you could take unlimited photos.” – Emma Liou
“The Elf Festival was so much fun with always having a fun activity to do! The spin the wheel and photo booth were my personal favorites, but all the games and dancing were so fun as well.” – Ella Tricano
“I loved the Elf Festival because it was well-attended and featured high participation from the crowd.” – Ellen Lee
Overall, the Elf Winter Festival was such a memorable and cheerful experience that brought students together to celebrate. Be sure to purchase tickets so you can attend the next McAuliffe festival!
