The LVIII superbowl was held in Las Vegas, Nevada. The two teams that faced off were the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers. 

The Chiefs were struggling to keep the division title, then won the last two games in the regular season and ended up being the 3 seed. The 3 seed will go against the 6 seed which was the Miami Dolphins. Tyreek Hill was coming home to Kansas City for the first time in the postseason. Tyreek Hill and the Kansas City Chiefs won the superbowl back in 2019. The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Miami Dolphins 26 to 7. They would advance to the Divisional Round to play the Buffalo Bills. The Bills vs the Chiefs are always the best postseason games in history. 

With the Buffalo Bills having an amazing season and never winning the superbowl, they fell short against the Chiefs by 3. The final score was 27 to 24. The Chiefs would later play the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC championship. They would go on to win 17 to 10, and Patrick Mahlomes would go to the superbowl for the 4 of the 5 years he was in the NFL. The San Francisco 49ers were the 1 seed in the NFC. They would play the Green Bay Packers and ended up winning by 3. They would face the Lions in NFC championship which the 49ers won 34 to 31. Brock Purdy has led the 49ers to the superbowl even though he was the last pick in the NFL draft. The moment came on February 11th. The San Francisco 49ers came out strong in the first half as they were up 10 to 3. Patrick Mahlomes was having trouble on what to do with the ball. 

Then it was halftime. USHER was performing and put on an amazing performance. Alicia Keys was also performing and was singing. The Kansas City Chiefs and the 49ers were tied in at the end of the 4th quarter and were heading to OT. The 49ers selected to have the ball first. Both teams in OT can have the ball. The 49ers went ahead by 3. The Kansas City Chiefs had the rest of the game and 4 downs to score 1 touchdown to win the game. Patrick is one of the best quarterbacks when it comes to OT. They had such a good drive and ended up scoring and winning the superbowl. Patrick won Super bowl MVP. Megan Farmer said,”The Chiefs winning the superbowl was the best part because they made a really good comeback.”
