Q: What do you enjoy most about working at McAuliffe?

A: I enjoy working with McAuliffe students and the great staff!

Q: Who or what inspired you to become a math and science teacher?

A: I knew that I wanted to be a teacher since the fourth grade when my teacher would let me stay after school and help her.  I am still friends with my fourth-grade, retired teacher, Mrs. Masson!

Q: What is your favorite book genre to read?

A: I love to read adventure books where your mind can take you to other places!

Q: If you were not [a teacher], what would you want to be and why?

A: If I weren’t a teacher, I would have been a veterinarian because I love all types of animals.  I was fortunate that my mother allowed us to have any type of animal we wanted as long as we took care of it.  I had rabbits, guinea pigs, parakeets, cockatiels, hamsters, fish, turtles, cats, dogs, chameleons, a rat, mice, tadpoles that turned into frogs and my sister had a horse. I must clarify that we did not have these animals at the same time!

Q: Do you have someone you look up to? If so, who?

A: There would be too many to name, so not one person in particular.

Q: If you could meet any famous person or person from history, who would it be and why?

A: I would love to meet Ben Franklin and have him see the technology and science that we have now. Wouldn’t that be grand?
