Ultimate intramurals have just begun! It’s a great opportunity for people to make friends and have fun! It’s open for anyone who wants to compete against their classmates or friends to win an intramural shirt!
When asked, “What was the highlight for your team when participating in frisbee intramurals?” McAuliffe 8th-grade student Sebastian Martinez said, “Messing around with my team and cracking jokes while winning games.”
It’s a collaborative sport where each team tries to score by making a pass to each other and trying to get to the other team’s end zone with a frisbee. Students play in practice rounds for a few days before the playoff starts. Winners play and Losers get eliminated. If you’re one of the teams that survived in playoffs, congrats, you just got yourself into the ultimate challenge, the Finals.
When asked, “What were the challenges that your team faced when playing?” McAuliffe 8th-grade student Aspen Natori said, “We kept losing because we didn’t jump as high as the boys and we kept missing a lot of passes.”
Only the two best teams out of the whole ultimate intramural get to play in the finals. Finals are the ultimate matches and the only chance to win the entire intramural. If your team is the lucky winner, you all have the honor of taking a photo in your red intramural shirts.
When asked, “What led your team to be successful in winning frisbee intramurals?” McAuliffe 7th grade student Shritan Reddy Yelal said, “I think our teamwork and passion to win made us successful.”
Ultimate Frisbee intramural for students just concluded and we have a winning team in 7th grade. If you missed out, don’t worry! If you participate next year, you get another chance to win an intramural shirt!
