On Friday, October 20th, McAuliffe’s ASB came together to organize a pink store supporting breast cancer research. In the quad, a table containing various pink items was sold to raise money to donate to breast cancer research. The pink store sold: scrunchies, sunglasses, pencils, pens, donuts, pixie sticks, and more. Many students participated in purchasing such items with money that would then be donated to breast cancer proceeds.
Not only was the pink store hosted, but many Eagles decked out in all pink to show their support for all breast cancer patients and/or survivors.
When eighth-grade student, Ava Bousard, was asked how she felt after donating she said, “I felt happy that my donation could better breast cancer research and help ones diagnosed with breast cancer.”
Additionally, students took photos with the “never give up hope” photo board.
