Imagine being behind the phone ordering your favorite meal to satisfy your stomach cravings. You feel excited when the delivery person approaches your doorstep with your food just 30-40 minutes later. Well, your tasty meal has most likely come from one of the three most popular food delivery services: UberEats, Postmates, or DoorDash.

UberEats is an online food delivery platform launched by Uber in 2014. The company has hundreds of restaurants to choose from, such as McDonalds, Veggie Grill, and California Pizza Kitchen. When you first open the app, you can scroll through the feed for inspiration or search for a particular restaurant to browse the menu. When you are ready to check out, you’ll see an estimated delivery time and the price of the order, including tax and delivery fee. Once everything looks ready, just tap “place order,” and in 40 minutes or less your meal will be at your doorstep.

Additionally, Postmates is another food delivery service that allows customers to request almost anything they want, including groceries! The idea is that these items will be delivered to the client’s door in less than an hour. After completing your request and filling out payment information, you’ll be connected with a Postmates courier who will confirm your purchase. You are then able to track your deliverer’s progress through the app.

Lastly, DoorDash is an on-demand prepared food delivery service founded in 2013. You can choose from over 300,000 local and national cuisines across the U.S. Once a customer orders something in the app, the restaurant prepares the food, and the “Dasher” picks it up and delivers it to the customer’s door. The company delivers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the service line is open 24/7.

McAuliffe middle schooler Jillian Muller reviewed, “All of the food delivery services I have used get my food at my doorstep in less than a half hour.”

“I have used UberEats, Postmates, and DoorDash. They are all really good food delivery services,” seventh-grader Emmany Thao stated.

No matter which food delivery service you decide to use, they will all solve your hunger needs and provide more convenience for your food purchases.
