A: Well, I went to school here as a kid so it was a place that I was familiar with and since I subbed here for a long time, it seemed like a good place to apply.

Q: Why did you choose to apply as a history teacher?

A: I love history! At first I thought about being an English teacher, but then I just got more and more into history. I really started to like the subject as I got older, so by college I wanted to learn about history and thought teaching would be fun.

Q: What is your favorite part of being a history teacher?

A: I think with history it’s cool because we have a lot of freedom to do different things like projects, having kids act things out, I like watching cool, short videos and I think that there are a lot of ways to make history fun.

Q: What do you think about the students at McAuliffe Middle School?

A: I think that there’s a lot of talent at this school and that they are really driven.

Q: What kind of instruments do you play?

A: I play the bass guitar and a little bit of the regular guitar.

Q: How long were you in a band?
