Breast cancer awareness month is an international health campaign that is held every October. This month tries to promote screening and prevention of the disease, which affects 2.3 million women worldwide. The goal we have throughout the month is to increase awareness of the disease and stress the importance of mammograms as the best to screen breast cancer. We celebrate this during October, to support people who have breast cancer. During the month of October teams, schools, clubs and foundations wear pink a lot. Mcauliffe Middle School hosted a pink store and a day to wear pink! By wearing pink we stand up together with our support of breast cancer awareness month! The teachers and staff were all given a pink ribbon to pin onto their shirt! We would love to thank our donors: Crumbl Cookie, Butter and Creme, Alamitos donuts, and The Pardasani Family! Thank you all so much and I hope everyone understands the real meaning of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
