IT’S SUMMER!!! Are you ready for summer and all the fun summer brings? In summer, you can hang out with your friends at the beach, sleep at 1 a.m., or just sit down and do absolutely nothing but eat and sleep and watch tv all day, you have 2 MONTHS to do whatever you want.
Beach
At the beach you can do so many activities like boogie boarding, surfing, and building sand castles. Well, I’m not good at surfing so I boogie board and I LOVE IT! Sometimes I do get jealous of the surfers but still boogie boarding is fun. Surfing is really fun too. My brother, Adam, says: “Surfing is really fun.” Sand Castles are super fun to make and to wreck. Trust me, I know.
Sleep:
It is recommended the average person gets eight to ten hours of sleep. When I sleep in the summer it feels so good because of the heat and humidity. I just slowly drift off into the cool feeling of sleep and dreams. After a trip in the pool, it feels so nice to get warm and cozy. If you get or already have black out curtains, they can help your sleep exponentially. Also, a weighted blanket will also help with longer amounts of sleep.
Total Nothingness:
Total Nothingness is a great feeling. It’s when you wake up with absolutely nothing to worry about. No laundry, no homework, no nothing. Best feeling in the world. Then you plop yourself under a blanket and binge watch a show that has 8 seasons and 26 episodes per season in one day.
In the end, there are so many things to do in a span of two months. A wise man once said, “. . . the annual problem for our generation is finding a good way to spend it like maybe . . .”(Phineas and Ferb surfing at the beach, sleeping in, or doing nothing at all.)
