As the year comes to an end, Nation School Librarian Day is around the corner this spring! This is the time of the year where schools will celebrate their librarians, and our librarians are Mrs. Feremski and Mrs. Jackson, so wish them a happy School Librarian Day!
National School Librarian Day is on April 4th, and we celebrate it because librarians are essential when it comes to students’ learning. Schools encourage the local area to celebrate them for their vital part towards the school and students. Not only are libraries used for reading, they are a great tool for students to study and gain knowledge. According to state studies, it shows the benefits of studying at libraries: “Students tend to thrive academically where library programs provide ready access to free and subscription-based online resources alongside more traditional collections of books, periodicals, and audiovisual resources” (KAPPAN). A lot of people need to consider that libraries need to be kept organized and used by students, in which our librarians, Mrs. Feremski and Mrs. Jackson, do everyday. Furthermore, libraries and librarians impacted schools and they have also impacted people all over the world throughout history as a primary source of information for people to learn and use!
With this information, make sure to wish our librarians a happy National School Librarian Day, and respect not only the librarians, but the library as a whole!
