McAuliffe Eagles showed their participation and sports skills by participating in the Student VS Teacher kickball event on Thursday, January 25th!
When organizing the event, ASB made and hung up posters all around the campus with detail and information about our kickball event!
In order to play, students had to sign up on the google form that was located in the McAuliffe google classroom.
On Thursday, the day of the event, all the students and teachers who were playing supported one another! When a 6th grade student, Garrett Peach, was asked, “Who do you think will win, the teachers or the students?” He answered, “I think that the students will win, because we have been waiting for this to happen forever and I think we will have a good opportunity to win.”
During the week of this event, teachers explained to their students about the upcoming event! They explained how to play, how to sign up, where to go, why the event was happening, and additional information. Although some teachers could not make it, they were still very excited for this upcoming event!
The event was very successful and it worked out just as planned! During the first lunch, some ASB students got to play on their team, outfield and got a chance to kick! The sixth graders won against the teachers but the teachers were still happy for the sixth graders! The next lunch, which is 7th and 8th graders lunch, got to go against the teachers as well! Although the teachers won this time and were so excited!!
All in all, McAuliffe students and teachers expressed their great sportsmanship while playing against each other! Thank you to all the teachers and students who came out and participated in our Teacher VS Student Kickball event!
