The annual Eagle Carnival seems to excite students at McAuliffe. However, in order to help fund the Eagle Carnival, we will need help from our students. Starting Monday, August 28, the 99 Pledges FUNdraiser will launch through Friday, September 15. Students are able to donate to help raise enough money for the carnival. McAuliffe hopes to achieve a grand total of $75,000.
Even though the students are the ones donating to this fundraiser, there are several prizes they can achieve depending on the amount of money donated. For instance, students who donate $50 will earn an Eagle Swag Bag. Moreover, those who donate $100 will enter the student into the McAuliffe prize pool. Finally, if a student donates $200, they will be entered into a raffle and will have a chance in winning Airpods, a Chromebook, Apple Watch, or gift card. Donations can be received by scanning a QR code that is on the flyers around the campus. Fortunately, people can also access the QR code through the ASB Google Classroom our principal, Mr. Courtemarche sent to parents. All in all, the top 5 donors will get to order In-n-Out for lunch with a buddy.
Along with a chance to win some of the individual prizes, McAuliffe students will also work as a team. First, if McAuliffe does reach the goal of $75,000, every grade level will get to attend the Eagle Carnival. In addition, the grade level that raises the most money will get an additional 30 minutes to spend at the carnival. Moreover, depending on the day, there are multiple incentives that when reached, come with a reward. If McAuliffe collects $5,000 by Monday, August 29, the Admin will run the mile for the students. Second, in order to earn an Admin versus students dance battle, students will have to raise a total of $10,000 by Wednesday, August 30th. $35,000 by Friday, September 1st, will earn an Admin ice bucket challenge. Hopefully, by the time McAuliffe gets to $50,000 by Tuesday, September 5th, we hope to see Mr. Courtemarche kiss something of students’ choice.
The Eagle Carnival needs a total of $75,000 by September 15. Nevertheless, with the help of encouraging incentives and a team full of talented and amazing students, hitting this goal will be a breeze.
UPDATE: We hit our first incentive: $5,000! Admin will run the mile on Friday during lunch! Students will have the opportunity to run with them as well.
