Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: In my free time I like to spend time with my family. I have three sons and I enjoy taking them to the park, going on hikes, and watching their sports practices and games.
Q: What do you enjoy most about teaching/working at McAuliffe?
A: The best part of teaching is getting to work with and learn from my students every day.
Q: Who/What inspired you to become a math teacher?
A: In 1921 my great grandmother was the first woman to graduate with a mathematics degree from the University of Wisconsin. She later became a high school math teacher. Her love for teaching mathematics has always inspired me.
Q: Where did you go to school for college?
A: I graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a BA in Business Management. I earned my Single Subject Teaching Credential & Masters Degree from National University, where I specialized in Social-Emotional Learning.
Q: What was your childhood like?
A: I grew up in Southern California with my parents and younger sister. Growing up I loved gymnastics, dance, and theater.
Q: Do you have someone you look up to? If so, who?
A: I look up to my parents. They are both wonderful role models.
Q: If you could meet any famous person/people from history, who would it be and why?
A: I would love to meet Walt Disney. I worked for the Walt Disney Company for 15 years and I would love to meet the person whose imagination and determination inspired the brand[s], stories, and theme parks that were such an important part of my life.
